We welcome you to our site and hope we can accommodate your needs. For your own safety and enjoyment, and out of respect for the safety and enjoyment of other campers, please take note of the following reminders.

We have tried to keep the number of signs at our camp site to a minimum. Most of them are there to help you find your pitch. Please follow the signs at first so that you don't wander through someone else's pitch while they're having a snooze. Once you have found your way around a bit you'll realise that there are many paths to explore, and we invite you to look around but please respect the privacy of other campers.
There are a few other signs which signal hazards, like 'Deep Water', that we would like you to take very seriously.
Entering and leaving the camp site you need to drive or cycle dead slow, beware of pedestrians and other vehicles. Park in the designated areas.
Dogs we love dogs, but we hate poo! We do not tolerate any on site. If your dog does have an 'accident' then pick it up, bag it, and put it in a bin. Dogs must be kept on a lead or tether. It is best to leave a noisy dog at home to guard your house.
Please respect the other campers by setting your mobile phones to silent. That goes for wake up alarms too.
Outside lights, we would appreciate when they are not being used that they be turned off, so there's no light pollution whilst watching the stars. So many stars!
If you have friends who are also camping at Little Leat then you may invite them over to your pitch to share a BBQ or whatever. If you have friends staying somewhere else then you may not invite them to visit you on our campsite. Meet up at the beach!
Radios - if your neighbour can hear it it's too loud! Acoustic instruments we encourage (unless you're playing is terrible of course!) No noise at all after 10PM, keep your voices down to a whisper.
BBQ's please place off the grass on the bricks provided, and dispose of the cold ashes in the bin, not in the hedge!
The dimensions of the pitches can be found on the camping page. The actual spaces are a bit bigger than these dimensions but because the pitches are irregular shapes it is not possible to be exact. If you are at all in doubt that your tent will fit, please contact us.

You must keep fires in the fire pits. Please buy your firewood from us, it helps us to make a living. We sell seasoned wood cheaper than you will get it from the supermarket. Same for kindling. You must keep a bucket of water along side and elect a fire warden between you. We do not tolerate foraging for wood.
School holidays are for young people, if you like the quiet come out of season!
Little Leat is a wild camp site. We don't call it 'wild camping' because that term is being a bit over-used these days, and it can mean different things to different people. Here you really will find wildness and wildlife. We mow the grass, of course, but the rest of the site is untamed. There are plants that sting and scratch, creepy-crawlies that sting and bite, water to drown in, and things that go bump in the night.
Your children are your responsibility, so please only bring kids if you want to re-wild them, and supervise them at all times.
